Happy Halloween

Miles is not feeling so well tonight. He has a fever and is getting his 2 bottom molars. He rallied to trick or treat, however. It was so fun! I wish Drew was here to see it. Miles was so polite and in only about 30 minutes managed to score more candy than he has ever seen before. Way to go Miles!

Still Missing Drew

Yesterday I picked Miles up early from school and we went to get his hair cut. Therefore, these will be the last pictures of ragga-muffin with a mullet Miles. Susanna and Super Cuts did a great job and after she was finished Miles said, "That wasn't so bad Mommy." He is really missing his dad but loving staying with Nanna and Pop-o. Yesterday I handed him a banana to eat and Miles said "Nanna banana." Also, when I dropped him off today, he was insistent that Nanna and Pop-o be at the house when we went home at the end of the day.

Here are few pictures from yesterday morning with Miles sporting matching Thomas shirt and undies. It makes me happy that Miles love Thomas so much, but I despise the folks responsible for Thomas books and videos. They are weird and creepy and all toddlers are mesmerized by them. If I did not know better, I would think that there was some brainwashing going on.

We went to a Halloween baby shower in our old neighborhood on Saturday and here are a few pics of Miles eating cake. He had a blast playing with his old buddies and acquiring a sugar high.

Happy 2 and half year Miles!

I cannot believe that our little guy has grown so much. He talks constantly now and has pretty much been potty trained for the past month. I am so proud of the little guy that he is growing into. Tonight during dinner he said, "Mommy eat this macon [his name for bacon], it will give you energy." If I did not know better, I would swear that he has been watching too much Anthony Bourdain. It was organic turkey bacon, however, and I am sure that Anthony Bourdain would consider it an insult to pork and humanity. Anyway, a few minutes later he said, "Mommy, you came back at the end of the day and got Miles at school. You are my best friend." So sweet, but since Nanna and Pop-o are in Phoenix and Drew is in Davis, I am pretty sure that I won by default.

This is his watcha sayin, Mommy face.

Miles' camera!

Macon, a.k.a bacon cheers!

Me taking pictures of Miles taking pictures of me...it was very meta.

We miss Drew

Drew is in Davis, CA for the next 17 days. This will be the longest we have ever been a part since we started dating. The good news is that I will attempt to make regular posts of Miles' pictures to keep Drew updated.

Miles has had quite the 2 year attitude lately. Yesterday he had a full blown kicking and screaming tantrum when it was time to leave the play ground. That was probably quite entertaining for the several dozen other families with their well-behaved children. He has also recently been quoted saying, "No mommy, I don't want rules." Ha...we will see how that works out. Anyway here are some pictures from this evening while Miles was practicing his trick or treating routine.
