"You Can't Spell Smile Without Miles" - Drew quote

Drew is already planning to use this quote when Miles is a teenager and acting difficult. It will surely be followed by a "why are you ruining my life!?", or some other similar statement. But for now Miles is a great baby. We adore him. He rarely cries for more than a few seconds to let us know he is hungry, dirty, or wants his pacifier. Also, Miles slept through the night again last night (9:30pm until 6:00am), and for the most part if he wakes up during the night it is around 4am. I do not want to celebrate yet, because I feel like this could fall a part any day (knock on wood). Miles has also just started to smile. I have not caught any of these on camera yet, and they have all been directed at the ceiling fan in the living room (a.k.a Baby God). The smaller fans in the bedrooms do not appear to captivate our little guy in the same way. Some day I hope that Miles looks at us with the same level of adoration and wonderment that is now only reserved for the ceiling fan.

Miles in awe of the fan turning on.

Miles being soothed by Baby God.

Miles does not yet appear to have any appreciation for toys, but we can pose him to make it look like he does.

Smiles! Hurray! Nothing better to reward you for sleepless nights and chaotic schedules.

And FYI, the "baby god" becomes the "toddler god". Lukas still loves ceiling fans and gets angry when they aren't moving. If they are moving he has to look up or peek into the room every few minutes to make sure they haven't stopped. Oh and point them out to make sure everyone knows they are on. I am so amused by how much they entertain :)
