Ahh...Sweet Relief!

Last night our sweet little Miles was once again an agent of chaos and kept me up all night with a combination of gas and wanting to compulsively feed. This meant that Drew and I got extra awake time to work ourselves up about his appointment at the cancer center today. We went this morning and my mom watched our little night owl. It was a rough morning with a wonderful outcome. Here is the final score:

Bone marrow biopsy - negative for any signs of cancer
Blood work - negative for any sings of cancer
PET/CT scan - negative for any signs of cancer

HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because there is no evidence that the cancer ever left the one node that was removed, it appears that Drew is the odd case where surgical resection actually appeared to be a cure for a hematology cancer. This means that Dr. Miller does not want to do any additional treatment. No chemo in the foreseeable future...Awesome! Drew's blood will continue to be monitored every few months for the next few years, and he will probably get a PET/CT scan once a year or so. This is the best news ever!
